I want every business to be known

Why I created BigBrandBid

I want every business to be known

That's actually the whole reason I'm building BigBrandBid.

The idea actually came from a startup event I joined. Founders take a booth, the event host markets it out, and visitors walk in and look around. Honestly it works, however the whole thing is stuck in a physical room, and the traction was lower than I expected.

I still think the format is good though. For example, when I walk around as a visitor, I find companies and products that I would probably never find on Google.

You see, the founders I met were pouring their time into the product itself, so the marketing side just sits there untouched. Their product is good and their search presence is thin, cuz building takes everything they have.

The other thing I noticed was how people get convinced. I was watching visitors at the booths, and the ones who leaned in were listening to a story. The product details came after, and sometimes they didn't even ask.

So BigBrandBid is an event host that lives online. I help founders make their presence known, and the wall stays up all the time, so there's no closing hour and no room to fit into.

Everyone on the wall pays $1 to be listed. It's small on purpose, cuz it's a filter. If someone pays a dollar to have their own product seen, they care about it. If they won't pay it, then honestly they probably won't tell their story either, and the wall runs on people who will.

I think a lot of good products stay quiet just because nobody gave them a place to be seen. That's the place I'm building.
